[Albus follows him into the kitchen, immediately looking over the food. Some of it is...not looking well, and he prods one item with his wand.]

How long has the refrigerator been out for?

[ He spreads his hands in a helpless shrug. ]

I assume it probably went out not long after the flooding reached the kitchen.

[Hmm. He looks over the food, deciding what looks salvageable before moving over to the refrigerator itself.

It was easy enough to start focusing on the refrigerator as if it were an oversized box. The first thing he does is cast a spell on it to prevent more water from invading it. A shimmer of magic seems to settle it over, wrapping over the surface of it like a light invisible shield before vanishing.]

[ Johnny's going to perch himself up on a countertop to watch. This is fascinating~. ]

[Albus glances at Johnny, smiling as the magic settles.]

First thing is making sure no more water gets inside, so I've put a spell on it to keep it sealed. Next is to make it cold once more.

[Which he does, casting another spell that seems to freeze the air before settling on the inside of the refrigerator.]

Now I really want to stick my hand inside it. But my feet are already wet enough.

[He chuckles brightly at that.]

If these spells hold up, you'll have plenty of time to feel it for yourself. They should remain in place for quite a long time.

Albus, my friend, you are a wonder.

Not at all. I'm quite happy to help.

Now let me see if I can salvage any of this food you have.

At some point, I suppose we'll just have to toss it and get something new.

Perhaps so. But let me take a look regardless.

Anything in particular you'd like saved among everything?

...The wine?

[That earns a bright laugh.]

I think the wine will survive. If anything, a little airing will probably keep it lively.

I don't eat for sustenance, only for enjoyment. I'll have to leave it up to you--whatever you think we've got that's left and worth saving.

Fair enough. Let's see --

[He goes over and starts prodding at things with his wand. There's a few things he moves aside, clearly writing off, but when he finds a piece of fruit or a vegetable that's wilted, a few sparks fly out, ripening it once more.]

[ He's going to watch with bright, fascinated eyes. ]

Let me know if there's anything I can do. Otherwise, I'm just going to enjoy the view.

[He chuckles, turning around to wink slyly.]

The view of magic, or of me?

The magic is just an extra bonus.

[He chuckles at that.]

[But he does go back to casting spells over food, watching as a piece of fruit or a vegetable livens up to ripeness.]

[ HE TRIES! but also it comes pretty naturally. ]

Are you...turning back time? For that particular apple?

[Albus grins, but shakes his head.]

No, I'm afraid not. Turning back time is far more difficult. I am simply giving the apple a little burst of life -- almost like a healing spell, in a way.
