Titanic AU Profile for Deerington

Professor Albus Dumbledore will be sailing the RMS Titanic in a second-class cabin, and will be freely mingling about the ship. Currently, he is on break from teaching in London, and making a brief sojourn to the United States for a research trip in New York. But, in the meanwhile, he's enjoying his time aboard the ship and content to have a small respite from school, even though he dearly loves his job and students.

Also on board is Dumbledore's younger half-brother, Credence Aurelius. Their relationship is respectful and warm, in spite of the age difference and having different mothers (and Albus' general belief that Aurelius is the more doted-upon son, though he doesn't begrudge him for it). Albus feels very protective of his younger brother, and is genuinely touched by his brother's fondness for academia. Even if they'll be traveling in separate classes, he hopes the journey will give him a chance to spend some time with his brother away from other family.

Dumbledore's personality is still mostly the same, and anyone interacting with him will be able to see him continue to be the friendly, warm person he is under normal circumstances. The one real difference is that he comes across as a bit more carefree -- he no longer is laboring under the pressures of upcoming wizarding war, nor is he burdened by his secretive past, leaving him much more open and easy-minded. And while he is still closeted due to the time period, he is a little bit more wink-wink nudge-nudge about his orientation, depending on who he's speaking with.
